Queens Park Mews
Queen's Park Mews, in Essendon, is a dense multi-storey facility designed specifically for ageing in place with a complex brief including dementia care, hostel, high care nursing home and independent living units all on the one site.
Addressing the needs of such a diverse development on an inner-suburban infill site required clever planning both in the delivery of services throughout the facility and in providing adequate access to external spaces for all residents. The result is an intricately detailed series of gardens, courtyards, terraces and balconies all within the framework of a traditional Essendon building style.
