Doutta Galla Lynchs Bridge
Lynch's Bridge, a 45 bed hostel in Flemington, was originally based on a boarding house model and designed to be constructed in two stages. Planning is based on clusters of bedrooms around focal socialisation spaces to improve orientation for residents.
The site planning and external design responds to the suburban setting, both in character and the siting of buildings, preserving a number of existing mature trees. The hostel maintains an intimate, village like character.
