MARTHA’S
POINT RETIREMENT VILLAGE - VILLAS
Retirement village operator
Primelife approached Demaine Partnership to design a range of
villas for this coastal retirement village on Victoria’s Mornington
Peninsula. Demaine reviewed the standard designs that were
part of Primelife’s design portfolio and suggested development of
the plans to allow full compliance with the Adaptable Housing
Code. The designed were further developed with attention to
façade detail, including expressed rafters to eave overhangs,
feature stone columns and pilasters, attention to the proportions
and frame thicknesses of the windows, and use of a range of face
brick and render styles. In combination, these changes
created villas with a solid, but visually timeless character.
Internally, the villas feature cathedral ceilings, giving an
unexpected feeling of spaciousness to these compact
homes.
The attention to detail at this
Village resulted in greatly improved sales outcomes relative to
Primelife’s benchmark villages.
