LYGON CREST
Lygon Crest is the flagship development of Benson's Property
Group. Consisting of 68 apartments in one, two and three bedroom
configurations, the building is characterized by a dynamic
horizonatally stratified form. Two contrasting building volumes,
each with their own lift core, share this architectural vocabulary
but are contrasted in colour and detail.
The apartments are innovative in their efficient use of space.
Flexible modular fitout systems are used in selected home office
apartments, providing adaptability for owners and allowing easy
retrofit of new information technologies.
The building is highly energy efficient, with a rating based on
Energy Victoria's First Rate system exceeding 5 stars. Materials
have selected for recyclability and low embodied energy, and the
building incorporates active solar (photovoltaic) systems.
