COLLEGE OF TAFE
Ministry of Housing and
Construction engaged Demaine Partnership to effect cost savings to
the proposed second stage of buildings at the campus and to carry
out administration of this project.
Over the subsequent seven years,
Demaine designed, documented and undertook contract administration
of this extensive campus. Buildings housing various trade schools,
organinized around a central pedestrian spine and a parallel
service road, provide training in a remarkable array of
disciplines
The design of all buildings had
to be in keeping with the original master plan for the campus,
including the use of materials and design motifs.
Demaine Partnership also designed
and implemented buildings conaining the central administration,
student services including lounges, cafeteria and associated
kitchen facilities, and general classroom facilities for non-trade
based areas of study.
